The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), through the Ecclesiastical District of South Korea, donated blood to the Korean Red Cross (KRC) on March 3, 2024.

For this humanitarian activity, brethren from ten local congregations, that of Ansan, Baran, Daegu, Gwangju, Gwangju-si, Incheon, Paju, Pyeongtaek, Seoul, and Uijeongbu, went to the KRC’s blood centers.

The said centers are situated in five cities of the country, namely, Digital Complex Guro-gu in Seoul, Pyeongtaek Station Blood Donation Center in Pyeongtaek City, Ilsan Blood Donation Center in Goyang City, Seohyeon Blood Donation Center in Seongnam City, Deongsongno Blood Donation Center in Daegu City, and U-Square Blood Donation Center in Gwangju, Jeolla Province.

This socio-civic activity led by Brother Roderick Yome, the district supervising minister, was deemed timely as the demand for blood in the country exceeds the availability due to the declining rate of donors (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov).

“Knowing how beneficial donating blood is for my health encourages me to do so. And being a Church member, there is more to this than just being a volunteer, that is, God’s commandment to help those in need is what all the more motivates me,” said Lloyd Arman Reyes, a choir member from the Local Congregation of Incheon.

On behalf of the said congregation, Charlon Arcilla, a head deacon, said, “We, members of the true Church, are willing to obey God no matter how busy we might become. That is why we will always find joy in obeying His will, which also proves our unity with the Administration He placed in the Church to lead us.”— With reports from Chris Antonette Pugay of INC News Section
