Ten days after taking his oath as the Deputy Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo led a nationwide evangelical mission on June 10, 2025. Held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Fairview in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City, it was livestreamed to various local congregations across the Philippines.

To reach a wider audience, this propagational activity “included Sign Language interpretation, thus ensuring that the Deaf, among other differently abled individuals, will also fully understand the lesson and come to know the truth regarding salvation on Judgment Day,” said Brother Edrian Ordenes, Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) adviser of the Marikina Ecclesiastical District.

During the study of God’s words written in the Bible, Brother Angelo Manalo explained that the Iglesia Ni Cristo bases its faith solely on the Bible—not on traditions nor worldly culture. He further emphasized that joining the true Church is the Savior Christ’s invitation for those who seek salvation.

“What the minister preached was directly from the Bible. He did not teach based on his own opinions. I’d like to continue examining the doctrines this Church upholds. I want to know more about the truth on how to be saved,” said January Gulapa, a guest at the Apalit Congregation’s house of worship, Pampanga East District.

“The lesson was clear and truly left a lasting impression on me. I felt the depth and sincerity of the minister who preached the gospel,” observed another guest, Vhianne Longcop whom the Pusil Congregation, Batangas North District invited. “I hope to be invited again to the Church’s future activities,” she added.

“I can truly feel the concern the Church members have for their fellowmen. I’ve learned through the biblical lesson the importance of joining the Church for man’s salvation,” said Gonzalo Ortega, a guest at the San Juan Congregation house of worship, Metro Manila East District.

“What caught my attention was the clarity of the lesson being taught. It clearly came from the Holy Scriptures,” said guest Reynaldo Dela Cruz of the Washington Congregation, Ecclesiastical District of Manila.

Another guest, Leonida Galleon of the Sampaguita Village Congregation in Marikina District, “appreciated how the brethren welcomed me as I entered the house of worship. I could feel a sense of camaraderie, and what I liked the most was how the minister delivered the message—he would ask the questions and then provide the answers directly from the Bible.”

“I was overwhelmed by the brethren’s warm welcome and the magnificence of the INC house of worship. During the study of God’s words, I realized that in serving the Lord, it’s not our own will that we should follow but His, so that our services will be accepted by Him,” shared Merry Lin Melloza, guest of Kilim Congregation, Leyte West District.

“Learning that the doctrines upheld by the INC truly come from the Bible, I anticipate to be invited again, and so that I can continue examining the teachings of God being taught in the Church,” affirmed Aljun Bacla-an, a guest of the Local Congregation of Basay, Negros Oriental District.

June Carl Lacao-lacao, guest of Dapitan City Congregation, Ecclesiastical District of Zamboanga Del Norte, decided to enlist as a Bible instructee right after attending the evangelical mission. “When I heard the message that man should not delay in working out his salvation, I decided to undergo biblical instruction in the INC because I’m hoping to find the true religion that will lead me to salvation,” he said.

“A true Christian follows the instructions of the Lord Jesus Christ, including the command to enter the Church Of Christ to be saved. That’s what I learned during the evangelical mission, which led me to begin biblical instruction in the INC,” stated Michaela Shanlao, guest of Afga Congregation, Agusan Del Sur District.

Faith upheld

“When the brethren learned that Brother Angelo Eraño Manalo would lead a nationwide evangelical mission, their first response was to hold devotional prayers, asking God for His guidance and success for the event,” said Brother Arnel Aningat, resident minister of the Local Congregation of Concepcion, Marikina District.

As a Church officer, I find happiness in fulfilling my duties, especially sharing my faith with others. Being able to bring guests to the evangelical mission made me proud and my faith renewed, knowing that I’ve helped them learn the truth about salvation, which is pleasing to God,” enthused Mayla Cotido from Pusil Congregation.

“In fulfillment of God’s will to care for all people’s salvation, the brethren in the Church will continue to unite in sharing their faith to anyone, differently abled persons included. Despite the harsh weather and flooding in some areas due to heavy rain, the brethren remained joyful and steadfast in the faith, thus resulting to many guests attending the event,” affirmed Brother Alex Lubao, Pampanga East District supervising minister. — With reports from INC News Section
