The Local Congregation of North York, Ecclesiastical District of Greater Toronto conducted a Teachers Appreciation Day at the Willowdale Christian School on March 25, 2024, under the INC Giving program.

The activity led by the congregation’s leadership and Christian Family Organizations’ officers intended to pay tribute to faculty members of the said private school located in North York, Ontario, Canada in appreciation for their contributions to the academic well-being of the students.

Brother Joan Apita, the resident minister, gave the opening remarks. He expressed gratitude to the educators for their selfless efforts as they look after the youth’s welfare.

Members of the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) in the congregation performed song and dance numbers featuring Iglesia Ni Cristo Original Music. Then they handed out essential office and school supplies and INC Giving mugs to the teachers.

On behalf of the school, the principal, Ms. Donna Miles, said, “Our staff was very blessed by everything you did. Thank you for coming and treating us.”

“Teachers Appreciation Day highlighted the wonderful outreach efforts of the Church of Christ. It’s heartwarming to see teachers feeling truly valued and feel the generosity of the Church,” said Dianne Carbonel, the local congregation chronicler. — With reports from Danfel Serreno of INC News Section
