On May 1, 2025, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) officers in the Local Congregation of Roosevelt, Ecclesiastical District of Bataan, Philippines, joined the INC Heritage Tour, together with their loved ones, thereby enhancing their knowledge about the Church’s history.
For this activity, about a hundred officers first gathered at their house of worship for a prayer and instructions from resident minister Brother Jonathan Fulgueras. Then, they traveled by bus to the house of worship of the Church’s first local congregation, Punta, in Sta. Ana, Manila, and at its former house of worship located just a few blocks away, which is now a museum.
“For 58 years as a member of the Church, this was my first time to visit these historical sites,” said deaconess Daisy Fantillian. “Visiting these places is very important, especially to the youth members of the Church, to see for themselves the humble beginnings of the Church during the time of God’s Messenger in these last days, Brother Felix Y. Manalo,” she added.
The brethren also went to the INC Museum located along Central Ave., Quezon City. “I’m very happy that I am able to visit the INC Museum,” said Children’s Worship Service member Sean Matthew Jimenes.
Seizing the opportunity as their activity being held on a Thursday, the delegates attended a worship service at Templo Central—a truly fitting way to conclude their tour.
“This tour has deepened the knowledge of the brethren concerning the history of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). That has all the more edified their faith and gave them further inspiration in their services to God,” said Brother Fulgueras. “We will remain standing firm in the faith,” he added on behalf of the brethren.
Established on October 31, 1959, the Local Congregation of Roosevelt will be celebrating its 66th anniversary later this year. — With reports from Annabele Penuliar and Ronald de Leon of INC News Section
