REAL, Quezon—On August 16, 2025, hundreds of volunteers participated in a blood donation drive in Real, Quezon, a coastal town in Quezon Province, organized by the lglesia Ni Cristo (INC) in partnership with the Quezon Medical Center (QMC). The initiative aimed to help address the growing need for blood supply among patients in the province.
INC members from the local congregations within the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon North supported the activity, which was held at the covered court of Barangay Cawayan.
Dr. Raymundo Supeña, department head at QMC, acknowledged the Church’s longstanding support.
“Since 2019, the INC has been our partner,” he said, noting that the hospital has consistently benefited from the Church’s blood donation efforts in Quezon province.
A total of 36,450 cubic centimeters of blood was collected during the event. All units were promptly turned over to QMC for patient use, significantly boosting the hospital’s supply.
The donation drive was conducted under strict health and safety protocols and supervised by QMC medical professionals. INC members volunteered in large numbers, reflecting the Church’s commitment to service and compassion through meaningful acts of kindness.
Brother Alex Alimon, District Supervising Minister of Quezon North, emphasized the biblical foundation of the initiative.
“Our members understand the importance of blood donation—it can save lives. We do this in obedience to God’s command to help those in need,” he said.
