Earl Xander Marial, representative of the Local Congregation of Invercargill South, won the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) Tagisan ng Talino (Bible Quiz) finals of the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand South, held on June 28, 2025.
“It is important that the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members, while still young, be instilled with the words of our Almighty God as it will guide them as they grow old,” district secretary Brother Dante Ariola, who supervised the event, said of the activity’s significance.
His parents, Ernesto and Geraldine, were not remiss in supporting him. “We thank the Lord God and the Church Administration for providing this activity that inspires not only the CWS children but also us, parents,” said Ernesto.
“This activity serves as the kids’ foundation or guiding path to grow up as active members of the Church,” said CWS teacher Darren Pangan from Invercargill South Congregation. “Through this activity, the children’s faith has been strengthened as they were encouraged to trust in our Lord God while they also learn His commandments,” added CWS president Khaye Ramel from Dunedin Congregation.
The other winners were Ethan Fisulero (Christchurch), 2nd place; and Jean Rousey Salazar (Invercargill), 3rd place. — With reports from Roxanne Rosquita of INC News Section
