Ireland Ecclesiastical District hosted a CFO cooking tilt on April 18, 2025 and an activity for Technical Support for Videostreaming (TSV) officers on April 21, 2025. These activities were supervised by the district supervising minister Brother Pepito Y. Acuesta.

Cooking Challenge

Organized by the officers from Christian Family Organizations (CFO), the Cooking Challenge was held at an events place in 2 Railway Road, Kilcarrig, Maine Bheag, Co. Carlow, R21 HD80, Republic of Ireland.

The activity brought together families and members from the Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi organizations for a friendly yet exciting competition. District SCAN president Eddie Naldoza from the Kilkenny Group Worship Service (GWS), attested, “I was amazed by how the brethren came out to the [activity] well-prepared despite the short notice. This goes to show not only talent but the willingness of the brethren to answer the call for unity.”

“Everyone loves food so it was a very enjoyable activity for the brethren in our district,” said Dublin South Congregation head deacon Arman Dimabuyu.

Buklod members took on the main dish cooking challenge. Meanwhile, KADIWA and Binhi members showcased their talents in crafting delicious desserts.

“This activity allowed me to learn more culinary skills. At the same time, it strengthened our faith and the unity of the brotherhood,” revealed head deacon John Ray Martinez of Portlaoise Congregation. For choir leader Tina Ducusin of the same congregation, “Activities like this enhanced the camaraderie between the brethren. We were able to bond with the brethren who have recently transferred to our district and even newly baptized members.”

For the main dish category, the winners were Buklod members from the Dublin and Dublin South congregations. For the dessert category, KADIWA and Binhi members from Kilkenny GWS emerged as champions.

TSV Talk & Workshop

The activity dubbed TSV Talk & Workshop was held at the function hall of the Belfast Congregation’s place of worship, located at 2-4 University Avenue, Belfast, BT7 1GY, United Kingdom. The event gathered TSV officers from the district, along with interested brethren, for a day dedicated to learning, collaboration, and skill-building.

The workshop aimed to equip brethren with knowledge in working with modern tools to enhance audio and video setup in local congregations, group worship services, and extensions.

Participants received hands-on training in essential technical skills in using softwares that are vital for ensuring smoother and more organized Church gatherings and activities, particularly for enhancing the experience of brethren attending online.

“The event was incredibly valuable and well-organized. The hands-on workshop on creating Ethernet cables was especially practical and gave us useful technical skills,” shared Dublin Congregation TSV officer Carl Raoul Mariano.

Beyond technical skills, the workshop emphasized the responsible and effective use of modern communication tools in support of Church activities. It aimed not only to expand knowledge but also to inspire a deeper sense of commitment and a pursuit of excellence in carrying out Church duties.

“These activities are a great help to us TSV officers, and they also give us the opportunity to connect with fellow TSV members from different parts of Ireland,” said Belfast Congregation TSV officer Rodel Mindoro.

“The brethren’s eagerness to participate in this activity is a testament to the strength of their faith,” affirmed district TSV overseer Brother Rob Polancos. “They are committed to improving and deepening their knowledge because they understand how vital their role is in the worship service and other gatherings in the Church. It’s truly inspiring to witness their love and dedication to their Church duties.”
