Church overseers, such as deacons, deaconesses, and group overseers, including group secretaries in the Ecclesiastical District of Italy South attended a special gathering, during which an oath-taking of additional officers was also held, on October 5, 2025.

With the Rome Congregation’s house of worship serving as the main venue, the Local Congregations of Firenze, Lucca, Grosseto, Naples, Cagliari Group Worship Service (GWS), Catania GWS, Salerno GWS, and Messina Extension connected via videoconferencing. Officers in other congregations attended at the aforementioned sites nearest to them, while Local Congregations of Roma Centro, Roma Est, Roma Nord, Roma Ovest, and Roma Sud all gathered in the main site.

District supervising minister Brother Dyland Ramos officiated the sacred occasion. He delivered a Bible-based lesson emphasizing the importance of having firm faith as they fulfill their sacred duty. “By further strengthening our faith as Church officers, we remain steadfast in our divine duties to God, which is truly pleasing to Him,” he explained.

After the study of God’s words, district Church Officers overseer Brother Rodegar Toca administered the oath-taking of newly appointed officers.

“Being expected to show concern for the brethren, so that they will be led to attaining salvation, gatherings like this keep the Church officers grounded in the faith,” said Rome Congregation resident minister Brother Jamesford Harry Bautista. On their behalf, he added, “No matter what happens, we will continue being one with the Church Administration in loving the Church.”

As the event concluded with renewed zeal among the Church officers, deacon Rogelio Moratalla of the Local Congregation of Rome shared his zeal, “Accepting an office in the Church is not only an honor but also a great responsibility. May God continuously help me, providing me the strength as I continue to care for my fellow brethren.” — With assistance from Jeric Vizco
