The Ecclesiastical District of Makati, in the Philippines, inducted 664 new Church officers on June 29, 2025 through a district-wide meeting. With the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Pasay serving as the host site, officers in other local congregations gathered at their respective houses of worship to attend the occasion via livestreaming.

District supervising minister Brother Dominador Tapang Jr. taught a Bible-based lecture during the event. He emphasized that Church officers must be able to perform every aspect of their duties. Upholding these is a must, being pleasing to God, Brother Tapang further said.

“Indeed, everyone, including Church Of Christ members, could become busy in working for a living or studying,” said Multinational Congregation chronicler Chin-Chin Chan. “But as I strive to make ends meet in this life, more so that I will labor for the life to come by performing all my God-given duties to the best of my abilities,” she further expressed.

Before the event’s conclusion, brethren who took up responsibilities in the Church were sworn into duty. Their oath-taking was led by district Church officers overseer Brother Godofredo delos Reyes Jr.

Newly sworn officer Harvey Marasigan of Pasay Congregation shared that “since my childhood days, I’ve always wanted to become a Children’s Worship Service (CWS) officer. Now that this duty has been entrusted to me, I promise to never neglect the young members of the Church who would be entrusted to my care.” — With reports from Moises Osorio and May-Ann Dela Cruz of INC News Section
