The brethren from the Local Congregation of Malatab, Ecclesiastical District of Cotabato North, welcomed the New Year with joy as their newly built 120-seater house of worship was dedicated to the Lord God through a worship service on January 9, 2026.
The newly dedicated house of worship stands at Purok 2, Malatab, Antipas, Cotabato, Philippines, which is approximately 42 kilometers from the district office.
District supervising minister Brother Generico Gamboa officiated at the sacred occasion. In his Bible-based lesson, he emphasized how important the house of worship is in the lives of God’s chosen people being the place designated by God where His servants go to worship and pray, especially in times of hardships and trials.
“My heart is truly delighted. I’m deeply thankful for having a beautiful, magnificent, and spacious house of worship,” enthused head deacon Napoleon Castro. “All glory belongs to God.”
“I’m overjoyed. I sincerely thank the Church Administration, and above all, our Lord God,” added deaconess and finance officer Liezel Ferrer.
A pastoral house and a guardhouse were likewise constructed adjacent to the house of worship, which was equipped with a new organ.
On behalf of the brethren, resident ministerial worker Brother Emmanuel Manuel said, “We will cherish and carefully maintain our new house of worship, especially because this is where we conduct our worship services and offer praises to God. This is also where we fervently pray to seek the help of the Almighty Father.”
Established on March 14, 1982, the Malatab Congregation’s having a new house of worship was a timely gift for its 44th anniversary this year. — With assistance from Norvin Enrique
