“The opening of this extension is truly a blessing for us. We fervently prayed for this. I thank our Lord God so much for granting our prayers that this extension be formally opened,” said deacon Geric Angeles.
It was Geric, together with his wife Aireen, who donated a part of their property as a place of worship at Birds Eyeview cor. Azucena St., Marikina, thus the rise of the extension of their namesake that sprang forth from the Local Congregation of Parang, Ecclesiastical District of Marikina in the Philippines. The extension’s inaugural worship service was held on August 6, 2025.
The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) School For Ministers president, Brother Arnel Canicosa, officiated at the sacred occasion. In his Bible-based homily, he emphasized that the members of the Church Of Christ who uphold obeying God’s commandments all the days of their lives are the ones who will be counted worthy of receiving God’s promise of salvation on Judgment Day.
“Now that the place of worship has become more accessible to my house, it will all the more strengthen my zeal in worshiping God. As a member and Church officer, worship service is my priority. During the gathering, I received the strength I need as I sojourn and most especially, to continue upholding my worship and services to the Lord God,” said choir member Joyce Ann Vinuya.
“The eagerness of the brethren was evident when they received the instruction from the Church Administration that there will be a place of worship here. Their hearts were filled with joy,” attested resident minister Brother Noel Santos. On behalf of the brethren, he said, “We thank our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for his unceasing love, concern, and care for us.” — With reports from Maureen Temblor of INC News Section
