To mark its first anniversary, the Ecclesiastical District of Marikina held a Musical Evangelical Mission at the EGM Hall of the EVM Convention Center, in Quezon City, Philippines, on August 17, 2025.

“In this activity, we are able to share to others through musical performances the significance of obeying the command of God and Christ to join the true Church Of Christ. Also, through music, our guests will also have a glimpse of the other teachings of the Bible that we also uphold inside the Church,” said district Light of Salvation (LOS) overseer Brother Christian Pajarillo.

The activity began with an opening prayer led by district edification overseer Brother Freddie Aguilar. Then, district supervising minister Brother Cyrus Jose Dizon read the message from the Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). In his message, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo expressed, among others, his greetings and prayers for the district as it reached its first anniversary.

Afterwards, talented brethren from Marikina District and Iglesia Ni Cristo Production Company (INCPC) treated the guests, accompanied by the brethren who invited them, to musical performances featuring INC original music, including God’s Love, I Am Happy, Sandata (Weapon), Halika Na, Kaibigan (Come Join Us, Friend), Laging Sasamba Sa Iyo (I Will Always Worship You), Hahawakang Mahigpit ang Pag-asa (Holding Firmly to the Hope), Ako’y Iyong Ihatid sa Bayang Banal (Help Me Reach the Holy City), and Heirs to the Crown, the latter of which was performed with Sign Language Interpretation.

In between performances, the attendees watched audiovisual presentations: convert story of former Born-again pastor now INC member Joseph Manalang, inspiring stories of Parang Congregation’s Gio Soriao, and Marikina Centro Congregation’s Jonjil and Mary Grace Abalos.

The activity was made more special with the various activity booths set up just for the event. Guest, as well as the brethren who invited them, also enjoyed the photo wall at the lobby featuring the history of the local congregations under the jurisdiction of the District of Marikina. Other booths were mounted at the lobby of the EGM Hall likewise prepared by the Christian Era Broadcasting Service International, Inc. (CEBSI), including several photobooths and CEBSI Exclusive Souvenirs.

Reactions
“I love music. That’s why I’m overjoyed having attended this activity. I’m thankful for the experience. I did not expect that this Church has activities like this,” enthused guest Krashayl Ann Torres.

“This is my first time attending an activity of the Iglesia Ni Cristo and I’m delighted because of the musical performances that I’ve seen. The unity and love among the brethren were evident,” said guest Chen Arlene Vailoces.

“While watching the musical performances, the things that etched in my heart and mind are the inspirational messages in the lyrics of the Iglesia Ni Cristo original music,” shared guest Chelsea Pascual.

Faith upheld
“Brethren did their best to invite many guests for this event,” attested Concepcion Congregation resident minister Brother Arnel Aningat.

“I am thankful to the Lord God for helping me to obey His teachings. One of which is to share my faith with others. My participation in this activity is also my response to the call of the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for all Church members to help in the intensive work of propagation,” said Parang Congregation head deacon Ronaldo Cardenas, who was able to bring along 30 guests.

“As a fulltime employee, it was a challenge attending the choir practices. However, I did my best to do so for it is my desire to help in the work of propagation through this musical evangelical mission. It is our hope that the song our choral group performed will inspire the listeners to know the true faith,” said Rodriguez Congregation choir member Niño Lorenzo, among the performers.

“Led by the Church officers, brethren in our district will continue participating in the activities launched by the Church Administration. We will intensify our participation in the work of propagation. We will continue to invite our guests to attend evangelical missions, Bible studies on doctrines, and worship services,” Brother Dizon said on behalf of the district.
