The Ecclesiastical District of Masbate’s leadership convened the members of the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) members in special gathering on June 25, 2023 to provide them encouragement and inspiration in their studies and, more significantly, service to the Lord.

District supervising minister Brother Nepthalie Panes officiated at the sacred gathering at the Masbate City Local Congregation’s house of worship which served as the main site. That of other local congregations were connected live online through videoconferencing.

In his Bible-based lecture, Brother Panes provided the student-brethren, who were accompanied by their parents and guardians, essential guidance they needed in zealously performing their duties to worship and serve God while they pursue a good education. He emphasized that apart from seeking intellectual development, students inside the Church of Christ should all the more grow in the knowledge about the will of our Lord God.

“We are very thankful that our district conducted this gathering because it gave us reminders to properly devote ourselves not just in our academic ventures but more so in our services to God,” said Jenebeth Bolon of Masbate City.

Another Masbateño, Melchor Malinao, remarked, “(The gathering) also instilled in us a positive outlook in life. The lessons that we have learned today contributed a sense of strength in us, for us to triumph over hardships.” — With reports from Roxanne Altarejos of INC News Section
