The Ecclesiastical District of Masbate held the finals of the Tagisan ng Talino (Bible Quiz) on June 21, 2025, at Cherish Resort in Masbate City, Philippines.
Ethan Jaz Balatucan of the Local Congregation of Luy-a won. He said, “I’m joyful for winning this event. I’m looking forward to representing our district in the regional level of the competition.”
Balatucan represented Aroroy Area. With that of the other areas of the district, namely, Balud, Buenavista, Mactan, Malinta, Masbaranon, Masbate City, Placer, Quezon, and Ticao, they engaged in the easy, average, and difficult stages of the friendly competition. Giving their best in recalling to mind what they have reviewed, they strove to answer the questions that were based on Children’s Worship Service (CWS) lessons.
The district CWS officers served as quiz masters and guides for the children. Ever supportive to them were their parents also present in the activity.
“Tagisan ng Talino is vital in deepening the children’s understanding of God’s words and importance of the Church, which are what will help them grow strong and steadfast in the faith,” said district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother Frank Arris Reglos. On behalf of the district CWS, he added, “Heartfelt thanks to our Lord God and to the Executive Minister Brother Eduardo Manalo for this meaningful activity for the CWS.” — With reports from Roxanne Altarejos of INC News Section
