In their own little way, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Local Congregation of Maseru, Lesotho, Ecclesiastical District of Southern Africa, volunteered to help save lives through a blood donation activity at the compound of their place of worship on February 24, 2024.

“It is the zeal of the Iglesia Ni Cristo members worldwide to do good whenever possible being one of God’s teachings we learned from the Bible. This time, it’s our turn, so we donated blood for those who are in need of it,” said Brother Clint Esmane, the resident minister, who led the congregation in this humanitarian activity.

The blood donors first underwent medical tests to make sure that they were physically fit to give blood. “Making sure that every donor passed the standard procedure prior to donating blood is important both for the donor and the beneficiaries,” shared nurse Litsitso Mahoele of Lesotho Blood Transfusion Service, a blood bank in Maseru.

“This is my first time donating blood,” said Moeletsi Matjeka, a Children’s Worship Service officer.

Another qualified donor, Nthati Mahanetsa, a choir member and congregation secretary, said in an interview, “Being able to donate blood is being able to help save people’s lives. Indeed, that is what this activity is all about, helping those in need.” — With reports from INC News Section
