“This activity is very timely considering that many people nowadays, especially the youth, are into music,” said Brother Sean Azley Alcantara, a ministerial worker assigned at Alabang Local Congregation. “They might listen to music during their pastime, among other events, but for us, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members, we also make good use of it to express and make known to more people the truth regarding salvation. After all, it is God’s will written in the Bible.”

On January 25, 2026, the Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila South hosted a musical evangelical mission. The activity was held at Villar Coliseum in Las Piñas City.

It started with a prayer and opening remarks by district Light of Salvation overseer Brother Samuel S. Saludez. Right after, musical performances featuring INC original music earned everyone’s attention as the select talented brethren, mostly choir members, sang their heart out with the emphasis on God’s will being relayed through the lyrics.

Performers were the Southlight Band, choral groups from the Local Congregations of Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Plaza Quezon, Almanza, and that of the Children’s Worship Service, including some as duet and trio singers, and the MMS Dancers.

Some of the 12 INC original music that they showcased were Halika Na, Kaibigan (Come Here, My Friend), Everything is Clear in the Church Of Christ, Ilapit Mo (Pray for it), May I Always Be True, and Pag-asa Nati’y Magaganap (Our Hope Will Come True), and Ngayon Na (Now is the Time).

In between these musical performances, audiovisual presentations were shown. It featured inspiring stories of brethren detailing their journey to conversion into the Church Of Christ notwithstanding persecutions and hardships along the way.

After the closing prayer led by district edification overseer Brother Jojo Vicente, all the performers joined for the finale, a presentation of the song Nananalig (Believing).

Many guests expressed positive remarks, including their desire to know more about the biblical teachings upheld by the Church. “It’s lively. The message of every song was well delivered, heartfelt even. As long as it’s Bible-based, I’m open to continue listening to God’s words,” said Jovita De Vera.

Aside from the event’s main goal of propagating God’s words, “this uplifting occasion was also inspiring, being with my family. As we listen to the songs that bespeak of our faith inside the true Church, I felt proud and strengthened to continue on in my services to God,” said Reynaldo Mabini from Almanza Congregation.

“Seeing to completion a program as grand as this was not an easy feat,” shared production staff John Carlo Alegre. “But what motivated us to continue on is the hope that through this, more people will God call in the true service of Him, for His glory.” – With assistance from Rencel Viaje
