Many converts in the Ecclesiastical District of Tarlac City, Tarlac, Philippines, have officially become full-fledged Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members upon receiving baptism at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Aguso on February 24, 2024.

Brother Jhavern Gindoy, the assistant district supervising minister, officiated at the sacred occasion. He emphasized to the would-be members the value of receiving baptism in the true Church Of Christ and thereby striving to live in holiness, that is, for them to receive God’s promise of salvation on Judgment Day.

“I thank God for I’ve been and is continuously taught the true gospel. I received baptism together with my two children,” said Romeo Carlos of the Paraiso Congregation. “With His mercy and help, my wife has decided to undergo Bible studies on doctrines. Our family will then have one true faith,” he added.

It was Aries David, a deacon in the same congregation, who was instrumental in Carlos’ introduction into the Church. “I’d bring him along to Church activities, especially evangelical missions. Upon attentively listening to God’s teachings, he decided to continue on. Before, it’s just him. Soon his entire family are Church members,” David said.

Andrea Mae Peñano from the Local Congregation of Matatalaib was also among those baptized. Her zeal being firm that no matter what, she said, “I will hold on to my Church membership until the end.” — With reports from Armanda Briñosa of INC News Section
