Prospective members in the Ecclesiastical Districts of Pampanga North and Tarlac City, Tarlac, Philippines, received baptism on June 21 and 28, 2025, respectively, upon meeting biblical requirements prior to admission into the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

Pampanga North

District supervising minister Brother Arnel Agorilla officiated at the baptismal gathering held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Angeles City. Before their baptism, they listened to a biblical lesson emphasizing the importance of being a Church Of Christ member and the kind of faith they must have to overcome trials in life and make it until the end or be saved on Judgment Day.

Brethren who have been instrumental in the conversion into the Church of the 84 candidates for baptism were also present.

District Light of Salvation overseer Brother Albert Dy led the oath-taking of the prospective members. “Today, we give thanks to our Lord God for the sacred baptism conducted, where many people returned to Him and gained the right to serve Him—having the hope to receive His promised blessings,” he said in an interview after the gathering.

“At first, it was pure curiosity that led me to attend worship services in the Church Of Christ. But, over time, I felt true peace every time I prayed,” narrated newly-baptized member Ivy Bayani from the F. Manalo Congregation. “I’m filled with joy and confidence in the salvation God promised.”

Tarlac City, Tarlac

The baptismal gathering in the Ecclesiastical District of Tarlac City, Tarlac at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Tarlac City was held on June 28. Assistant district supervising minister Brother Jhavern Gindoy led the occasion.

“Before my baptism, I was tested in the faith. I faced persecutions. But I stayed committed and kept attending worship services, wholeheartedly believing the teachings upheld in the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” recalled newly-baptized member Amelia Diaz Gorgonio from the Sapang Maragul Local Congregation. “People questioned why I joined this Church, but my faith grew stronger through those trials, leading me to continue my journey within the Church.”

After the homily of Brother Gindoy, the oath-taking of the baptismal candidates was led by district edification overseer Brother Jonathan Cabrera.

“The person I was able to lead into the Church was a former Catholic,” shared Eva Tiongco from the Amucao Congregation. “Just like her, I also hope that her loved ones will also take the chance to know more about and eventually join the Church.” — With reports from Camille Concepcion and Armanda Briñosa of INC News Section
