The Local Congregation of Bayanbayanan in the Ecclesiastical District of Marikina, in the Philippines, commemorated its 105 years of establishment through a musical concert on March 15, 2026 at Teatro Marikina.
Organized by local Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers, the brethren witnessed the activity with Marikina District supervising minister Brother Cyrus Jose E. Dizon and fellow ministers composing the district leadership.
“It is befitting to thank God for blessing us with the resilience to withstand life’s storms that hit us, to witness our congregation’s growth and success, which He bestowed as well,” said resident minister Brother Ernesto C. Eusebio in his opening remarks following a prayer by district edification overseer Brother Freddie Aguilar.
Afterwards, selected brethren performed their rendition of some INC original songs. Children’s Worship Service members chorally sang God’s Promise, while Magpapasakop sa Namamahala Sa Iglesia (“We Will Submit To The Church Administration”) and Ama Kami Ay Sa Iyo Pa Rin (“Father We Are Still Yours”) by other choral groups. I Am Happy and Still Blessed By God were each performed by a duet.
Ang Tungkuling Itiniwala, Puspusan Naming Magawa (“The Entrusted Duty We Will Fully Fulfill”) was sung by a quintet, while various quartet groups performed hymns like Members of the Church Of Christ, Tutupad Pa Rin (“I Will Remain Fulfilling My Duty”), and Alipin Sa Malayong Silangan (Servant From The Far East).
Audio-visual presentations were shown, featuring some senior brethren sharing their stories of faith alongside the congregation’s humble beginnings. To further visualize to the audience the said congregation’s history, a musical play was also conducted, which was one of the highlights of the anniversary celebration.
The program concluded with Brother Dizon leading the closing prayer.
“We wanted to offer praises to God, while at the same time, inspire younger generations to be as faithful as those who were first to be called in the Church Of Christ,” said event organizer Aira Magtarayo.
Deaconess Adelina Ibarrola expressed her delight for “the activity’s success in passing down to the youth our faith by sharing our past experiences that made us closer to God and resilient.”
“We are grateful to God and Christ for we were given this wonderful opportunity to praise Them and for us to joyously gather to celebrate our congregation’s 105th anniversary,” enthused Brother Eusebio. He added, “Through the Church Administration, we are continuously guided in the performance of our duties, so never in our life were we forsaken.” — With assistance from Marikina District Multimedia
