New members have been added to the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), particularly in the Ecclesiastical District of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, in the Philippines. On May 24, 2025, a baptism was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Kabankalan City, with the assistant district supervising minister Brother Cyrus Sab officiating.

In his Bible-based preaching, Brother Sab reminded the candidates for baptism that come what may in their lives, they must take utmost care of the divine election, as they would be receiving it from God through the instrumentality of the Church and its Administration.

After the study of God’s words, district edification overseer Brother Neil Mangubat led the oath-taking of the baptismal candidates. Afterwards, they were immersed into the water, being their actual baptism.

“There really is a difference from when I was still in Catholicism. Back then, not all its doctrines were openly discussed,” newly-baptized member Jay Jimenez from the Local Congregation of Candoni narrated. “But now, here in the Iglesia Ni Cristo, it’s verse by verse; all are directly quoted from the Bible,” he explained.

“I’ve been looking forward to it. And now that I’ve been baptized, I am at peace, knowing that the true God has taken care of me and will continue doing so. Truly, God’s presence is evident in the Church,” expressed another newly-baptized, Janna Altaris from the Local Congregation of Naga. — With reports from Credenda Balceda of INC News Section
