Brethren from the Pampanga West Ecclesiastical District gathered for a Fun Walk activity along Brgy. Sta. Barbara, Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines, on January 2, 2026, the first Christian Family Organizations (CFO) activity of the district for the present year.
In the Fun Walk, the participants enjoyed spending time together for a morning dedicated to physical fitness and the strengthening of brotherly bonds. Led by district supervising minister Brother Ronaldo Canlas and fellow ministers constituting the district leadership, the event brought together brethren and their respective families.
Participants assembled first at the barangay hall of Sta. Barbara, which served as the starting point. From there, they walked through the local community, passing two blocks before circling back to the starting line completing a 1.2-kilometer circuit.
District CFO overseer Brother Triumpo Bautista explained that the activity “is more than physical exercise—it’s a joyful gathering where families strengthen their bodies, deepen their bonds, and share wellness together. It’s good for our health while strengthening unity, reminding us that caring for ourselves is also important in caring for one another.”
“The logistics [of the event] were carefully considered, such as the cleanliness and every participant’s safety,” shared district Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) president Noel Viray.
Citing how she benefited from the activity, Santa Monica FB Congregation deaconess Flor Mercado remarked, “This activity greatly benefits health, especially for the elderly. For me, it lightens the body, lowers blood sugar, eases joint pain, and helps maintain wellness so I can continue fulfilling my Church duties.”
“Despite the moderate rain, each household eagerly prepared and arrived early at the venue,” observed choir member Raymond Mendoza from the San Juan-Guagua Congregation. He added, “My heart overflows with joy as I unite here.” — With assistance from Joy Ferrer
