LAOAC, Pangasinan (August 9, 2025)—In a strong display of community spirit, hundreds of lglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members gathered at the Farmers Training Center in Laoac, Pangasinan, for a blood donation drive organized in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross and the Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC).

The event received enthusiastic support from members, who shared commitment to saving lives. Gerald Dioquino, Donor Recruitment Officer of R1MC, emphasized the critical importance of such initiatives.

“Blood donation is a great help to our community, especially for patients who urgently need blood,” Dioquino said. He said that despite the hundreds of bags collected at these events, demand still exceeds the available supply. “That’s why we encourage everyone to participate in blood donation programs.”

Among the donors was Mark Daniel Tejada, a nursing student, who shared his motivation for joining the cause: “I know how important blood is for those in need, so I’m here to help.”

R1MC expressed gratitude to the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) for its consistent support in addressing the region’s blood supply needs through organized donation efforts. “We at Region 1 Medical Center are very grateful to the Iglesia Ni Cristo because these blood donation drives save many lives,” Dioquino said.

In recognition of its ongoing contributions, R1MC presented the Iglesia Ni Cristo with a Certificate of Recognition during the event.

The Iglesia Ni Cristo is a community partner that helps. It has active members and congregations in more than 160 countries and territories.
