On April 12 and 15, 2025, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Local Congregation of Bagbaguin, Ecclesiastical District of CAMANAVA, in the Philippines, held a Pasugo distribution drive and an evangelical mission, respectively. These propagational activities served as a kick-off for the congregation’s 75th anniversary celebration later this year, on November 6.
Resident minister Crispin Sisit, along with the resident ministerial workers and Church officers, led the brethren in handing out copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine. They distributed approximately 1,000 copies to residents at ten areas of the congregation.
“God expects me to bear fruits of holiness. One way, among others, is through this giving of Pasugo copies to nonmembers,” said deaconess Gladys Mae Tolero. “That is why it feels fulfilling whenever I and my whole household unite with such and other activities launched by the Church Administration.”
“I give copies of the Pasugo to my fellowmen so that the biblical teachings upheld in the Church would be accessible to them,” said deacon Romeo Opulento. Being also an area Light of Salvation overseer, he added, “I will lead the brethren under my care, including my family, to continue upholding the propagation work of the Church.”
“Aside from introducing some of the fundamental teachings the Church Of Christ upholds, we also invited our fellowmen to attend our upcoming evangelical mission,” shared resident ministerial worker Brother Mcleem Lloyd Kuan.
The said evangelical mission was held in the congregation’s house of worship three days later and was officiated at by district Light of Salvation overseer Brother Edgar Bumagat. In his biblical preaching, he pointed out the truth that no matter how rich a person is, his earthly wealth cannot save him from eternal punishment on Judgment Day. Brother Bumagat then cited verses of the Bible that one can be saved only by joining and remaining in the true Church until the end.
An estimated 500 guests attended the evangelistic event. With the brethren who invited them, they filled not only the house of worship but also a multipurpose hall that served as an overflow room. According to the congregation’s secretariat office, many of the guests expressed willingness to know more about the Church Of Christ and the biblical teachings it upholds.
To commemorate its milestone anniversary, the congregation has prepared more upcoming activities to be held until the much-awaited red-letter day. — With assistance from Rosanna Ramos
