The Ecclesiastical District of Queensland, Australia conducted its first baptismal service of the year 2026 on January 23 in three venues, adding more faithful to the Lord’s growing flock in The Land Down Under.

District supervising minister Brother Orlando V. Macayan officiated the baptismal gathering at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Brisbane which served as the main venue.

The other two venues, both more than a thousand miles away, were the houses of worship of the Mackay and Cairns local congregations, which were connected via livestreaming.

In his Bible-based preaching, Brother Macayan urged the would-be members to safeguard and fully treasure the great blessings they were about to receive through baptism in the true Church—the right to serve the true God and the hope for salvation on Judgment Day.

Before their immersion into water for their baptism, the prospective members first took their oath of membership, which was administered by district Light of Salvation overseer Brother Edmark Velasco.

Then, assistant district secretary Brother Erick Rufo baptized those in Brisbane, district Church officers overseer Brother Arnel Sembrano those in Cairns, and resident minister Brother Filerano Lamajan those in Mackay.

Right after the baptismal gathering, all in attendance proceeded to the “Welcome, My Brethren” activity during which the new members were introduced to the officers and members of the Christian Family Organizations to which they should belong.
