Travelling via coach, airplane, or with their private cars, brethren and their families from the Ecclesiastical District of Queensland, Australia, converged at the Mackay State High School grounds for their INC Unity Games on April 20, 2025.

When asked about the importance of the said activity, Christian Family Organizations overseer Brother Mark Kiseo said, “Supported by the Church Administration, this activity is aimed at giving the brethren opportunity to bond and meet with fellow members across the district. This shows the importance of maintaining a closely knit brotherhood among the faithful as it is pleasing to the Lord God.”

A parade of colors commenced the friendly competition as brethren, players, and cheerers alike, entering and filling up the venue wore colored uniforms representing their respective congregations.

Attendees were in for a thrilling show of gameplay and camaraderie. Participating brethren competed in basketball, volleyball, badminton, and chess. Meanwhile, the children members enjoyed outdoor fun games.

One of the organizers, Sofia Garcia from the Local Congregation of Mackay, said, “We’re really excited to see our efforts show fruition. It is very fulfilling to see the brethren unite in this activity. These were all made possible because the Lord God heard our prayers for the success of this event.”

Towards the end of the Unity Games, the winners were recognized and awarded. The basketball champions were from Mackay, as well as chess first place winner Eliseo Miguel. The winning volleyball and badminton teams hail from Cairns Group Worship Service (GWS). — With reports from Lorrie Kate Solomon of INC News Section
