The Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City held an evangelical mission on September 1, 2024 at the EVM Convention Center along Central Avenue, Quezon City.
Thousands of guests, accompanied by the brethren who invited them, filled the FYM and EGM halls to capacity while hundreds more were seated at the lobby of the said venue.
After a prayer led by Brother Virgilio Del Rosario Sr., Quezon City District supervising minister, Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo officiated at the study of God’s words.
Using the Bible, Brother Angelo Eraño Manalo expounded that man cannot rely on his own beliefs or traditions, and even his own wealth, for him to be saved on Judgment Day for God Himself deems all of those worthless. He quoted the biblical teaching that for man to be saved on that great day, he should follow God’s will—to join the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) which the Lord Jesus Christ redeemed with His blood. After the lecture, Brother Daniel Solano Jr. led the attendees in a prayer.
“With God’s help, this evangelistic activity became successful as a great number of our brethren responded to the call of the Church Administration to further take part in making God’s words known to more people so that they may also have the chance not only to understand, but most of all, to follow His will for the sake of their salvation on Judgment Day,” said Brother Del Rosario.
Almost a year after his pastoral visit to the Local Congregation of Cubao, Ecclesiastical District of Central, the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, sent his primary helper, Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, to officiate at a worship service there on August 14, 2024.
The prayer before the preaching was led by Brother Carl Te. Brother Angelo Manalo began his preaching by reminding the brethren that they are living amid extraordinary times, bearing the signs that their salvation is near.
He emphasized that the true Christians’ enemy, the devil, schemes to endanger their salvation. The enemy will try mightily to remove from their hearts God’s teachings that they received. He would go as far as to put stumbling blocks in the form of hardships, temptations, and even calamities.
Be that as it may, true Christians have the strongest ally: the Almighty God. Thus, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members must use all spiritual resources or obey God’s words written in the Bible taught to them, especially during worship services, to keep safe their hope of being saved.
After the preaching, Brother Joji Crisostomo led the congregation in a prayer. The Local Congregation of Cubao recently celebrated its 93rd anniversary of establishment.
