Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Salvacion, Ragay Group Worship Service (GWS) were recently blessed with a new house of worship.

Located at the barangay and municipality of Camarines Sur, Philippines from which the GWS’s name was derived, the new 110-seater chapel was dedicated to the Lord God in a special worship service on March 13, 2026.

Naga City, Camarines Sur District supervising minister Brother Misael Dungca Jr. officiated at the sacred occasion. In his Bible-based homily, he highlighted the significance of the house of worship to the life of God’s true servants, wherein they not only bring Him their offerings for His glory but also receive spiritual blessings for the enrichment of their spiritual lives.

“This house of worship’s rise is timely, considering these extraordinary times that we are experiencing. Herein, the brethren can conduct their personal prayers and expect for God’s help,” Brother Dungca said in an interview after the worship service.

Established in 2019, the Salvacion, Ragay GWS came into existence as a result of the propagation efforts of brethren from the Sampaloc Congregation, whose house of worship is 14 kilometers away.

“We used to hand out to people [in Brgy. Salvacion] copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine [and] also hold Care for Humanity events,” recounted Sampaloc Congregation second head deacon Eliseo Mangilin. “Later on, having understood some of the biblical teachings we uphold in the Church, they decided to know more. They became doctrinal instructees until eventually they were baptized.”

After some time, Virgilio and Gloria Briones volunteered a portion of their property in Brgy. Salvacion which served as the GWS’s place of worship until September 2024.

Jaime Cosi wholeheartedly donated to the Church a parcel of land on which the GWS’s new house of worship was eventually constructed and was now dedicated to God.

“Praises be to God for the Church Administration has been instrumental in the establishment of this house of worship,” said Brother Jandel Augusto, the GWS’s current resident ministerial worker. “The Church Administration can expect that we here in Salvacion will take good care of it, especially in upholding its sacred purpose: conducting here the true worship of God. May He will that more people around here be called inside the true Church.” — With research assistance from Raquel Lara
