A part of the activities lined up for the 10th anniversary of the Ecclesiastical District of San Diego County, California, a newly-renovated district office located at 401 Broadway, El Cajon, CA, U.S.A. was inaugurated on March 5, 2026.

Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from Chula Vista, National City, and El Cajon were not remiss in witnessing this milestone event.

Formerly owned by the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, the property where the office stands was purchased by the Iglesia Ni Cristo in December 2009. The house of worship of the Local Congregation of El Cajon is also located there.

District supervising minister Brother Matthew T. Capistrano gave the opening remarks. Also in attendance were Seargent Louie Michael of the El Cajon Police Department and Special Projects Coordinator Don Giaquinto of the City of Chula Vista, both of whom gave congratulatory speeches.

“It’s an amazing tribute to the Church and the impact it made to the community,” remarked Giaquinto. “This shows that the Church has been successful in the San Diego region.”

Brother Capistrano and assistant district supervising minister Brother Alejandro I. Oñate Jr. led the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the edifice’s entrance. After the ribbon-cutting, Brother Capistrano unveiled the signage and marker. Brother Oñate then read the message in the inaugural marker.

After a prayer, a media tour commenced with video presentation and photo exhibition. An INC Giving activity was also held during which the district leadership and brethren gave care packages to guests. The packages contained essential groceries to help with the beneficiaries’ immediate needs.

Mayor Ron Morisson of National City, who was also present in the event, remarked that “One of the great things about INC is that they are constantly engaging with the community.” — With assistance from Christian Benedict Co
