“With the increasing number of people joining the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) here, the Church Administration has decided to approve the establishment of Paliparan GWS in Calauan, in the Ecclesiastical District of San Pablo City, Laguna, Philippines,” said Brother Wilfredo Gonzales, the district supervising minister.

He officiated the GWS’s inaugural worship service that was held on May 8, 2024. Church members in the village of Paliparan gathered at their place of worship, with brethren from the Local Congregation of Calauan joining them.

Brother Gonzales, in his biblical preaching, emphasized the value of establishing more houses of worship inside the Church Of Christ as “it is the members’ utmost duty to God, to not neglect their worship of Him,” he said.

The GWS’s place of worship “is about seven kilometers closer to us than that of the Calauan Congregation where the brethren here used to attend worship services,” shared Niño Lopez, the head secretary. “We’re happy for having this place of worship that is more accessible.”

Aside from the establishment of “a place of worship closer to where the brethren live,” this recent development will also be instrumental “to intensify the work of propagating God’s words here,” said Brother Gonzales. — With reports from Matthew T. Viñas of INC News Section
