The Ecclesiastical District of Saskatchewan continue to reap the fruits of its labors in the work of propagation. This month, it held a baptism at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Saskatoon, followed by “Welcome, My Brethren” for the newly baptized members.
District supervising minister Brother Ramil H. Macaspac officiated at the sacred occasion held on February 22, 2026. In his Bible-based lesson, he reminded that the Church they were joining is the one that benefitted from the Lord Jesus Christ’s redemption with His blood and, hence, through their baptism, they were receiving the privilege to the true service of God and the hope of salvation on Judgment Day.
After the homily, district edification overseer Brother Denis Salvante administered the candidates for baptisms’ oath of membership. It was followed by their actual baptism by district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother John Alvin Ching.
In the ensuing “Welcome, My Brethren,” led by district Light Of Salvation overseer Brother Jayson Caluza and Brother Ching, the members and officers of the CFO welcomed the new members and introduced to them their respective organizations.
One of the new members, Detleaf Moreno from Saskatoon Congregation, said that when he started listening to the Iglesia Ni Cristo, “I realized that everything I learned is true, because its teachings are all based in the Bible and not of anyone’s own opinions.” Remembering the sacrifices he had to make to reach baptism, he shared, “After work, I’d go straight to Bible Study, even when it’s snowing heavily. I know trials are always there, but I’m determined to obey the Lord God. The closer I was to my baptism, the more I became stronger in faith, and motivated to have my part of eternal life.”
From the same congregation, deacon John Gutierrez expressed, “God is so kind. In my experience, I always receive blessings from Him whenever I help in the work of propagation. I encourage all the brethren to help in sharing the faith so that God will continue to bless us in our lives.” — With assistance from district multimedia
