With the approval of the Church Administration, the Administration of the Iglesia Ni Cristo School For Ministers (INC-SFM) inaugurated its latest practicum center in Urdaneta City, in Pangasinan Province, Philippines on November 4, 2025.

The school building is located at No. 55 Sison Street, Barangay Poblacion of the said city.

INC-SFM President Brother Arnel R. Canicosa led the said inaugural program.  Together with him were the School’s Director Brother Bobby P. Fernandez, Dean for Academic Affairs Brother Lyndon A. Aguirre, and Dean of Admissions Brother Romualdo M. Alcantara.

Other minister-instructors were also present, along with Pangasinan districts’ supervising ministers. Besides Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, the other ecclesiastical districts in the province are Lingayen, Rosales, San Carlos City, and Alaminos City.

“The Church Administration approves the establishment of our school’s extensions in various places to respond to the growing needs of the growing flock,” said Brother Canicosa in an interview afterwards. “Through our practicum centers, we are able to recruit, teach, and train more would-be ministers who will truly care for the Church’s welfare.”

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Brother Canicosa, the marker for the building was unveiled. The marker text bearing the message of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, Executive Minister of the Church, was read by Brother Aguirre.

Major renovations for the two-story building, which used to be the district office building in Urdaneta, began in April 2025 and was completed on October 31, 2025. The first floor houses the faculty rooms and clinic. Three classrooms and the library are located at the second floor.

As of this writing, about 90 ministerial students have been designated to continue to attend their classes in the new practicum center. The INC-SFM now has 21 practicum centers in the Philippines, aside from five extensions abroad).

On behalf of the Urdaneta City, Pangasinan District, supervising minister Brother Elmer Abalos said, “We thank the Lord God for this momentous event in our district. This shows that the Church continues to flourish in all its endeavors. This extension will help respond to the growing need of the Church for more ministerial workers who will help the Church Administration in tending to the brethren’s needs.” — With assistance from April May Lopez and Elykim Mamasig
