Gladness filled the hearts of the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Africa, especially those from the Cape Town suburb of Muizenberg, with the establishment of a worship service extension in their community.

On May 1, 2024, the Muizenberg Extension of the Cape Town Congregation held its inaugural worship service, together with around 200 invited guests.

Brother Rico Del Rosario, district supervising minister, who officiated at the holy gathering, emphasized in his Bible-based sermon that as the true Christians, members of the Church Of Christ, should imitate the Lord Jesus Christ’s firm faith in and utmost obedience to God’s commands, whatever the situation of their life may be.

The said worship service was held in the extension’s approved place of worship, which is a rented property situated at 38 St. Peter Avenue, Seawinds, Muizenberg.

Prior to the establishment of the new extension, the brethren residing in the beach-side town used to travel for 36 kilometers in order to attend worship services at the Local Congregation of Cape Town.

“The establishment of the new extension will further intensify the faith of the brethren,” Brother Ronnie Ver Gamboa, resident minister of the Cape Town Congregation, stated. “It will give them inspiration to continue in their active services to our Lord God and also in sharing our faith with our fellowmen.”— With reports from Cara Luzeleine Sanico of INC News Section
