INC Chroniclers in the Ecclesiastical District of La Union, in the Philippines, attended a special gathering that was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of San Fernando on May 24, 2025. During the same occasion, new local congregation chroniclers took their oath of office.

For the occasion, the Church Administration sent Brother Eraño G. Quinitio, the minister supervising the Church’s Research and Information office, to officiate. In his Scripture-inspired preaching, he exhorted the attendees to treasure their God-given duty. He also pointed out the biblical teaching that by doing everything that pleases the Lord God, they will be assured to receive His vowed blessings for the faithful.

After the biblical lesson, Jerlyn Bosque from San Fernando Congregation shared in an interview what she learned: “It was taught to us that keeping a proper record of the Church is in consonance with the will of the Lord God, that is, for future generations to always ponder upon the victories He does not cease giving the Church. Indeed, it’s a blessing for me being chosen to be the chronicler of our local congregation. I will always devotedly fulfill it.”

“Preserving the history of the Church, such as in our local congregation, is vital for that is one way of telling how God fulfills His promised help to His true servants,” added another chronicler, Alen Mendoza from the Local Congregation of Santiago Norte. — With assistance from Jose Alfred Santos
