To further inspire choir members, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna District held a special gathering for them. Choir members from the district’s San Pedro and Biñan areas gathered on December 1 at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of United Bayanihan, while those from Sta. Rosa and Cabuyao areas gathered on December 2 at that of the Local Congregation of Metroville.

Over all, 107 new choir members took oath at both venues after the study of God’s words led by assistant supervising minister Brother Marc Leo A. Ibasco.

Assistant choir director Ricky Ramirez of Golden City Congregation, who has been in the choir for 34 years now, so relates on God’s will relayed to him. He shared, “There was an instance that we had financial difficulties but we did not neglect our Church duties, and we held devotional prayers. Truly, God did not forsake us. Not long after such hardship, He provided our needs, proving to us that He is with His faithful servants come what may in this life.”

Solita Rivera, who has been an organist for 32 years now, from Niugan Congregation likewise shared her conviction: “Many times I have to choose which to prioritize: my job or my duty. But as always, I choose my duty. After all, it is from God. That is why I firmly believe that He will not leave me in vain. True enough, God’s safekeeping is tried and tested through time. Until now, my family and me benefits from it. We’re still able to perform our Church duties.” – With reports from Laraine Sheal Sevilla and Ella Marie Tañais
