Young members of the Local Congregation of Tarlac City, Ecclesiastical District of Tarlac City, Tarlac had fun together during their coin bank-making project, bringing out their resourcefulness and creativity.

Moreover, the activity, which was held on March 5, 2023, aimed to instill in the participants the value of thriftiness as well as environmental awareness.

They crafted coin banks using recycled materials, such as water bottles, that they could find in their homes, which they decorated with colorful designs.

“Our parents’ goal that we should be mindful and thus frugal regarding our financial concerns inspired us to conduct this activity,” said Jada Francine Bermudo, Binhi congregation president. “We want to apply what our parents teach us, especially because it is for our sake.”

Gabrielle Velasco, Binhi officer, said, “Through this activity I’ve become more aware of the importance of saving money for my future needs.” — With reports from INC News Section
