Three Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) congregations in Nevada, USA, joined hands in conducting an activity dubbed Neighborhood Appreciation on February 4, 2024.

To carry out the activity, members from the local congregations of Blue Diamond, Centennial Hills, and Summerlin in the Ecclesiastical District of Mountain States pooled their efforts and resources to provide free services to the people in their communities.

Held in a rented hall at 1601 S, Rainbow Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada under the direction of the district supervising minister, Brother Lowell Nucum, the event was one of the district’s projects under the umbrella of the INC Giving outreach program.

Aside from providing free health services, haircut, and refreshments, the humanitarian event also served as an opportune time for the brethren to introduce the Church Of Christ to the community through a video presentation featuring its various activities, and the biblical bases behind these. Afterwards, select members of the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) treated the guest-beneficiaries to entertaining musical performances.

“Since I’m new in this neighborhood,” shared Elizabeth Lemmons from the Local Congregation of Summerlin, “I took part in this outreach program to get acquainted with the community while providing free services.”

“I like what the Church members are doing for the community and that is one of the reasons why I came here with my good friend Michelle who invited me,” Jannet Almazan, a guest, remarked. “She’s been telling me about the Church and how it gives to the community so I became curious, and came here.” — With reports from Princess Rosano of INC News Section
