“All blessings come from God. With Him, nothing is impossible. Academic and career successes are God’s answers to prayers,” said district edification and Church officers overseer Brother Christian Agron.

Such a timely reminder was instilled among students, who are Christian Brotherhood International members, and graduates in the Ecclesiastical District of Washington DC during their special gathering. It was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Temple Hills, Maryland on August 17, 2025.

District supervising minister Brother Sidney Santos officiated the sacred occasion. He preached a Bible-based lesson to them about the importance of placing trust in God above human wisdom. After the study of God’s words, district chronicler Brother Joshua Lugtu read the names of the graduates, who were congratulated, especially those with academic honors.

“Graduating from university felt like an end to this chapter of my life as a student. During difficult times in school, I would always pray to God. I found comfort in fulfilling my duties, among other activities in the Church,” shared choir member Anna Marie Gonzales from Temple Hills Congregation. Regarding the gathering, “it made me feel so grateful to feel God’s love throughout my time as a student and through the Church Administration. I uphold what I was reminded, to trust in God, especially during my last semester when I struggled while finishing my degree,” she added.

After the gathering, the attendees proceeded to the socializing activity dubbed “Dish of DC,” which their parents prepared for them at an open space behind the Temple Hills Congregation house of worship. They enjoyed various cuisines while spending quality time with one another. — With reports from Tyler Worthen of INC News Section
