The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) has continued to gain converts to the true Christian faith in East Asia as members from its districts in the region, such as those in Tokyo, Japan and Macau, China, have kept their zeal in propagation work.

On behalf of the former, district supervising minister, Brother Amante Rodriguez, said that however busy their fellowmen might be with their everyday lives, “we will continuously invite them as it is God’s will that we be united with the intensified work of the Church in propagating God’s words.”

The same diligence was displayed by the faithful from Macau. As a result, both ecclesiastical districts conducted baptisms recently of new members.

The Tokyo, Japan District held the baptism on February 24, 2024 at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Ichikawa, with Brother Rodriquez as the officiating minister at the baptismal service.

“I promise not to neglect attending the worship services, among other Church endeavors by which I serve the Lord God,” said Nomura Yushiki, one of the newly baptized.

Firmly believing that it was “God Who called him to the Church Of Christ,” Maimi Matsuura of the Tokyo Congregation, who was intrumental in Yushiki’s introduction to the Church, said, “I thank Him for using me as His instrument in leading him [Nomura] into joining the Church.”

In the Macau District, Brother Celestino Bacsafra, the district supervising minister, officiated at the baptismal service held at the Macau Congregation’s place of worship on February 24.

He emphasized in his homily that “people must receive baptism in the only one true Church, the Church Of Christ, to be among those whom God recognizes as His chosen people.”

“I thank God that I’ve completed instructions in Bible doctrines, among other requirements. And now I’ve received baptism within the true Church Of Christ,” said Romnick Mariano from the Taipa Congregation.

His fellow new member from the same congregation, Gliezle Ann Andrada, vowed, “I will not give up my worship of God. I will always prioritize Him more than anyone and anything else. I will praise Him as long as I live.”

“I’m so happy for my baptism into the true Church Of Christ,” enthused Lady Ann Rentar from the Barra Congregation. “I’m now sure of salvation on the Day of Judgment.” — With reports from Mar Agustin and Shaira Dabu of INC News Section
