CBI Unity Camps organized by the ecclesiastical districts of Laoag City and Metro Manila East, Philippines, brought together and fostered closer ties among members of the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) members in the said districts. The said activities were held on February 17 and March 9, 2024, respectively.

In Laoag City, more than a thousand CBI members gathered at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena; those from Metro Manila East, numbering around 800 individuals, convened at the Ynares Sports Arena, in the city of Pasig, Metro Manila.

“I’m very grateful to the Church Administration for launching such activity. It truly helps us to be acquainted with our fellow students and has brought us inspiration and joy in life,” said Kent Jerick Ramos from Nagsanga Congregation, Laoag City. “It even more strengthened our brotherhood,” added Dulce Aguinaldo, from Pagudpud Congregation, also in Laoag City.

For the Unity Camp, the organizers put up several interactive booths including Academic Discovery Station, Broadcasting Mini-workshop, Mini-obstacle Course, Students Meet and Greet, Logic and Sticks, Geographic Quiz, INC History Quiz, CBI Facts, Photo Booth, and Freedom Wall. Also, part of the program were song and dance performances of select brethren featuring Iglesia Ni Cristo original music.

“A respite from schoolwork,” Maristel Bruno from San Juan Congregation in San Juan City, Metro Manila so described the CBI Unity Camp, for “I gained knowledge and enjoyed the various booths.”

“Despite our busy schedules at school, it’s inspiring to know how we’re still able to allot time to take part in this worthwhile activity,” said Mae Vitales, CBI district officer in Metro Manila East.

After the day’s program, attendees received souvenir items as token of appreciation of their presence during these district-wide activities. — With reports from INC News Section
