Spearheaded by the Cavite Ecclesiastical District leadership, brethren in the Local Congregation of Amaya recently opened the Wellington Group Worship Service (GWS). The inaugural gathering was held at its place of worship located at Block 5, Lot 18, 6th St., Phase 1, Wellington Residences, Brgy. Tres Cruses, Tanza, Cavite, Philippines on July 16, 2025.
After the congregation thanked God through their singing hymns of praise and a prayer, district supervising minister Brother Manuel Santos preached God’s truth written in the Bible emphasizing that obedience to the Almighty God’s words, primarily their continuous worship of Him, is a must for Him to deem them worthy of His blessings in this life and the life to come.
Having sprung forth from Amaya Congregation, the GWS will still be under the congregation’s supervision. Formerly, the brethren constituting the GWS would attend worship services at the said congregation’s house of worship that is approximately 5.5 kilometers away from them. Be that as it may, “my inspiration in worshiping the Lord God is His abiding help and love evident during our congregational worship services. That is why I will not neglect my worship of Him. Also, I will always participate in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our place of worship,” said choir member Juliana Candare.
“Our Lord God grants the sincere prayers of the brethren, that is, to have our own place of worship here in this area of our congregation,” said Amaya Congregation resident minister Azarias Juacalla. On behalf of the congregation and the GWS, he added, “We will make the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) further known in this area. Thus, as part of our celebration of the Church’s 111th anniversary, we will have our evangelical mission right after our Anniversary Thanksgiving worship services.” — With assistance from Rose Anne Ramallosa
