The Ecclesiastical District of Western Australia conducted a choir special gathering on December 7, 2025. The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Fremantle served as the host site.

Choir members there were joined by those from the Local Congregations of Armadale, Australind, Coogee, Ellenbrook, Maddington, Midland, Perth, Queens Park, Rockingham, Stirling, Mandurah Group Worship Service (GWS), and Dalwallinu GWS. Other local congregations and GWS were connected via livestreaming.

District supervising minister Brother Nolly Esperanza officiated at the special gathering. He emphasized, during the study of God’s words, that the sacrifices of the Church officers, such as choir members, in performing their duties will never be in vain. That is why he encouraged them to continue fulfilling their duties no matter what happens.

Among the attendees was Joel Itchon from Ellenbrook Congregation, who has been a choir member for 25 years now. “My duty is my sacred obligation to our Lord God. It’s really an honor for me to serve Him, especially singing hymns of praise. My pure intention is to always serve Him with all my heart,” he said.

“Being an organist is a gift from God,” said Pura Clementia Soriano from Cogee Congregation, who has performed her duty for 12 years now. “Whenever I fulfill my duty, I feel that I become closer to God. It’s such a rewarding feeling being an instrument in inspiring the brethren. That’s what makes me happy. That’s what keeps fueling my resolve to remain in my duty throughout these years.”

On behalf of the district’s Church officers, Brother Esperanza said in an interview after the gathering, “We will be always ready to make sacrifices in fulfilling our duties. No matter what happens, we will serve God to attain His promised salvation.” — With reports from Hannah Sharlene Leoncio
