“I’m overjoyed, for I am now a full-fledged member of the Church Of Christ. I thank the brethren who invited me and helped me in my conversion into the Church. Most of all, I thank the Lord God. He is the reason I’m here. He has allowed me to receive baptism,” said newly baptized member Larry Ferrer from the Local Congregation of Mallorca. “I feel that I am now closer to God, and I will attain the promised salvation and eternal life.”
Ferrer is among the prospective members who, after completing the Bible studies in doctrines, among other biblical requirements, received baptism during a gathering that the Ecclesiastical District of Spain held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Barcelona on January 25, 2026.
During the said baptismal gathering, district supervising minister Brother Froilan Enriquez Jr. delivered his Bible-based lecture. After the study of God’s words, assistant district supervising minister Brother Gilbert Aniciete led the baptismal candidates in taking their oath of membership. Then, district treasurer Brother Ben Mark Enriquez led the congregation in a prayer. The actual baptism was administered by district auditor Brother Daniel Llagas Jr. and district secretary Brother Roel Gonzales.
“I truly felt being a new person. I’m overwhelmed with joy,” enthused Marilou Buenavidez Roldan, newly baptized member from Barcelona Congregation. “Being baptized is just the beginning of my journey. I know that I will face trials, but I will never lose hope. God allows us to encounter trials not for us to give up but instead for us to be firm in the faith, and trust in Him. I will serve Him for as long as I live,” she further said.
After the baptismal gathering, a “Bienvenidos Mis Hermanos (Welcome My Brethren)” activity was held to welcome the newly baptized brethren. Therein they were introduced to the Christian Family Organizations that they respectively belong: Binhi, KADIWA, and Buklod. Shared smiles as officers congratulated the newly baptized made the latter feel the warmth of brotherhood inside the Church. — With reports from Noemi Jimenez
