Brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Zambales North attended a fire prevention seminar held on March 10, 2024, in line with the government’s efforts to create awareness among citizens as Fire Prevention Month is observed in the Philippines.

Fire officer (FO 2) Steve Winston Egaraan, representative marshal of the Masinloc Fire Station, served as the resource speaker. His discussion about safety measures that ought to be strictly observed was livestreamed from the house of worship of Masinloc Congregation, which served as the host site, to the houses of worship of other local congregations in the district, where other brethren gathered.

Jennifer Ecleo, a finance officer in the Local Congregation of Baloganon, shared what she learned: “electronic appliances should be used responsibly and secured after being used since they can easily cause fire.”

Leichel Elayba, also a finance officer in Masinloc Congregation, said that she believes that the knowledge they gained can be apllied “not only in our homes but more so, in caring for our respective houses of worship.”— With reports from INC News Section
