“Blood donation drives like this is important,” shared Jenndale Merza of the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital (JLGMH).

She was referring to the blood donation activity that the Ecclesiastical District of Zambales North, in the Philippines, hosted at the Masinloc Municipal Hall on January 10, 2026.

Facilitated by the district’s Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society officers and members, this district-wide activity saw donors coming from all the district’s local congregations, extensions, and group worship services. Its beneficiary, JLGMH, sent its medical staff to lead in collecting the blood.

Out of the more than 120 volunteers, 77 qualified after undergoing health screening and were able to donate blood.

“We always hope to be of help to those in need, whether they’re our brethren or not yet members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, which is why we conduct blood donations time and again,” attested district Christian Family Organizations overseer Brother Prince Manuel Mendoza. On behalf of the district, he added, “This is our unity with the call of the Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo that we remain active in all of the Church’s activities.”

“Every time we have activities like this, I seize the opportunity to participate,” said head deacon Sandy Nilo, a regular blood donor from Taltal Congregation. “I firmly believe it’s a blessing and privilege to do so, being also the Church’s way of expressing to our fellowmen how much we genuinely care for them, and most especially, to give glory to God,” he explained.

On behalf of the JLGMH, blood bank supervisor Michelle Corpuz said, “Thank you so very much to the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for the trust, that this Church always collaborate, partner with us. It’s a great help that we received which, time and again, is felt not only by our patients but also those of other hospitals, who are either INC members or not—truly anyone. These blood donations of Iglesia Ni Cristo brethren are truly done, for their fellowmen, without expecting anything in return from them.”

District supervising minister Brother Mateo A. Escobido, assistant district supervising minister Brother Renato G. Durian, and fellow ministers constituting the district leadership personally oversaw the activity.
