Marking its ninth decade of establishment, the Local Congregation of Maharlika in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon West, Philippines, held a special worship service to God on January 10, 2026 at their house of worship.

Brother Rene J. Panoncillo, the Church’s General Secretary, was sent by the Church Administration to lead this memorable occasion. He taught the brethren in his Bible-based homily that although life becomes increasingly difficult every passing day, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members’ sacrifices in upholding obedience to all of God’s commandments are never in vain, for their salvation is rest assured by the Almighty God Himself.

“The brethren were all so happy, me included,” enthused head deacon Jose A. Domogma Jr. “It’s because we were remembered by the Church Administration in this very significant day of our congregation. That’s something we will always treasure in our hearts and minds,” he further expressed.

Choir leader Lydia C. Grit was likewise spiritually renewed through the worship gathering. “God has given me strength and hope to keep moving forward despite myriad trials, such as losing someone dear to me,” she shared.

On behalf of the congregation, resident ministerial worker Brother Jedric Ivan Eleazar thanked the Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo for “sending one of his primary helpers to lead us in a special worship service” that has “further strengthened and inspired us to keep serving God no matter what to receive salvation.” — With research assistance from Junel Jabrica and Hansley John Rivera
