“We are very thankful to the Church Administration, especially to our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo. The brethren here are overjoyed,” attested district secretary and resident minister Brother Darlito Bolaños Jr. “The establishment of this congregation serves as an inspiration to the brethren so that they may continue to give glory to God and serve Him until the end.”
The Church Administration recently approved the establishment of a new congregation in New Zealand. The newest local congregation in New Zealand North District, New Plymouth Congregation held its inaugural worship service on February 14, 2026 at the rental hall of Hillsborough Bowling Club, 373 Egmont Rd. Hillsborough, New Plymouth. There also, succeeding worship services will be held.
New Zealand North Ecclesiastical District supervising minister Brother Dennis Dahunan officiated the sacred occasion. It was also witnessed by brethren across the district through livestreaming.
In his homily, Brother Dahunan emphasized that the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members need to remain holy and faithful to the Lord God for as long as they live. They can prove such by always obeying His teachings, and fully trusting in what He can do in their time of trials. Thus, they must be courageous, Brother Dahunan highlighted, as God will not forsake His true servants. Most especially, He will save them on Judgment Day.
Afterwards, district edification overseer Brother Benito Sumang III led the oath-taking of new Church officers.
“I promise to fulfill my responsibilities in the Church, remaining faithful to God, to continue growing spiritually. I will also continue to unite with the Church Administration in all other activities in the Church, as this is what the Lord God wants me to do,” said local congregation Buklod president Celso Camacho. — With reports from Elaine Marie Ignacio
