The final week of February 2026 saw Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Quezon City Ecclesiastical District, in the Philippines, participating in various activities.

SCAN, CMDPS, DMT special gathering
A special gathering was held on February 24 at the Batasan Hills 1 Congregation house of worship with district supervising minister Brother Virgilio A. Del Rosario Sr. officiating. It was held in commemoration of the anniversaries of the Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN), Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS), and the District Music Team (DMT) which reached their 37th, 7th, and 6th anniversaries, respectively.

Thanking the Lord God for another year of guiding the said societies, Brother Del Rosario exhorted the members, in his Bible-based sermon, to fervently fulfill the duties entrusted upon them despite the worsening situation of the world. They were also taught to remain steadfast in their faith, constantly trusting that God will help and protect His faithful people.

“We thank the Lord God for another year of guiding us,” expressed DMT leader Byron Culas from Lagro Congregation. On behalf of fellow officers, he added, “We will strive to please and glorify Him by uniting in all of our Church endeavors.”

Inauguration of baptismal pool and district SCAN office, baptism
On February 27, the district formally opened its newly constructed baptismal pool and SCAN office, both located at the house of worship compound of Capitol Congregation.

After delivering his opening remarks, Brother Del Rosario and wife Ofelia led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Then, the attendees were given the opportunity to take a tour of the said facilities.

“We’re truly happy and grateful for we were provided with a facility which will serve as our center of operations,” shared district SCAN president Joey Salvadico.

On February 28, a day after the district’s baptismal pool was formally opened, a baptism was held which yielded a total of 161 converts.

In his Bible-based preaching prior to the baptism, Brother Del Rosario encouraged the would-be members to give great importance to the baptism that they will receive, for through this, they will be given the right to serve and worship the Almighty God, and most of all, the firm hope of salvation on Judgment Day.

SCAN Grand Eyeball
On the afternoon of February 28, SCAN officers and members assembled at the open field of New Era University in Barangay New Era, Quezon City for the district’s SCAN Grand Eyeball.

During the activity, members from various congregations took part in events which not only tested their endurance, but also showcased their skills in performing tasks in line with their motto, “Saving lives is our priority.”

Also witnessed during the event was the awarding of certificates to associates who completed emergency first responder (EFR) training.

Inspiration to the brethren
On behalf of the district, Brother Del Rosario expressed his thankfulness to the Lord God “for He uses the Church Administration in implementing activities which inspire the brethren to remain active in their membership so that no matter what happens, they continue performing their duties which please God, and by doing so, they secure their hope of attaining the promised salvation.”  — With reports from Mark Gil Angeles and Elizer Felix Hebrew
