In the month of November, the Ecclesiastical District of Texas conducted special gatherings respectively for those in the Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi organizations.

Buklod

“The Buklod organization was established by the Church Administration for the benefit of the married members of the Church Of Christ, supporting them through the different activities that will further strengthen their relationship.”

Thus said district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother Matt Karl Talens regarding the Buklod organization, which marks its 63rd anniversary of establishment in December this year. In commemoration, Buklod members from the various congregations in Texas convened at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Universal City for a special gathering on November 22, 2025.

District supervising minister Brother Noel C. Caritativo officiated at the sacred occasion, emphasizing to the attendees the importance of love and faithfulness between a married couple, and their role in raising the generation in a Christian manner. Such conviction husband and wife Herminio and Rosita Santos, from the Local Congregation of Universal City, uphold for 62 years now. “Ever since the day we were married, we valued our love for one another. That is what our children saw in us as well. And so, they have followed the same as they lead their own households,” said Herminio.

KADIWA

Six days later, on November 28, 2025, the KADIWA members attended their special gathering. They were joined by their KADIWA brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of South Central States at the house of worship of the Humble Congregation.

“The KADIWA organization was formed to take care of the youth members especially those who are preparing for their married life. Through this special gathering, the KADIWA members were reminded that everything they do should be aligned with the words of God for their success,” said Brother Christian Ross, CFO overseer of South Central States District.

Brother Caritativo emphasized to the attendees through his Bible-based lecture that godly wisdom, referring to God’s words, is far more important than worldly wisdom. So it is God’s teachings that all His chosen ones should live by, especially on the part of the youth who are exposed to the evils of this world.

“As a student, like other KADIWA members, it can be very tempting to focus on only our studies and earning a livelihood. But as taught to us, these are only temporary. So what we should strive for the most is godly wisdom, which would lead to our salvation,” expressed David Sta. Maria, from the Local Congregation of Edinburg, and district KADIWA president of Texas.

“Because of the love of the Church Administration, we have activities and gatherings like this so that the brethren, including the KADIWA members, will always be in line with them. On the part of the ministers and ministerial workers, we will focus on the spiritual needs of the youth so that they won’t be influenced by the evils of the world,” said Brother Andrey B. Silva, supervising minister of South Central States.

Binhi

The day after the KADIWA special gathering was that of the Binhi members of the District of Texas. The Binhi members in the Houston region gathered in the house of worship of the Humble Congregation, while the rest, in four other houses of worship, namely, of the congregations of Killeen, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Edinburg.

Assistant district supervising minister Brother Teodorico S. Samson Jr. taught the attendees that young members of the Church should be careful in choosing companions and accepting popular beliefs.

“The Church Administration aims to teach the Binhi members to be obedient and respectful to their parents, guide them to have a stable future, and help strengthen their faith. Thus, it is important that they are constantly reminded through God’s words so that they will not be deceived by false beliefs and opinions of many influencers in this world,” said Brother Samson.

Recalling from the Bible-based lecture during the special gathering, Achilles Dan Dizon, choir member and Binhi president of the Local Congregation of Corpus Christi, said, “Most people of my age are busy focusing in their studies and social life in school. But for me, the most important in my life is my faith.”
