Elegantly dressed in Filipiniana outfits, married members in the Quezon City Ecclesiastical District gathered for a Buklod Night held at the Bahay ng Alumni, University of the Philippines-Diliman, Quezon City, on November 30, 2025.

“This activity was held in order to further strengthen the bond not only between husband and wife, but also among fellow couples as people of God having the same faith,” explained district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother Mark Gil Angeles.

After assistant district supervising minister Brother Bernie Mabuti led the attendees in a prayer, district supervising minister Brother Virgilio A. Del Rosario Sr. delivered the opening remarks. As he welcomed everyone in attendance, many of whom were local Buklod officers accompanied by their respective resident ministers, Brother Del Rosario expressed the same hope of the Church Administration that the activity becomes instrumental in further edifying the faith of Buklod members.

Afterwards, fellow Buklod members from different local congregations serenaded the audience as they performed their renditions of INC original music. During one of the performances, husbands were given the opportunity to give roses to their respective wives as a gesture of their love and appreciation.

Brother Del Rosario delivered the closing remarks which was followed by a prayer led by district edification overseer Brother Gregorio Payang.

“The entire activity truly reflected the theme ‘Made one in serving [God]’ (Pinagbuklod sa paglilingkod),” shared district Buklod officer Ross Lincoln Enriquez from Batasan Hills 1 Congregation. “Seeing the couples being united and helping one another as they continue fulfilling their God-given duties is indeed a precious sight to behold in this activity.”

“Through activities like this, married Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members have the opportunity to further interact with one another, thus, forming a camaraderie which helps them to remain active in their services to God,” stated district Buklod president Richard Gubat from Nagkaisang Nayon Congregation. “We hope that the spiritual zeal which the parents now uphold will also be passed down to their children,” he added.

In a separate interview, Brother Del Rosario expressed his gratitude to the Lord God “for He uses the Church Administration in implementing activities which inspire married members to keep on upholding their duties, and to remain active in their membership so that no matter what happens, they may effectively lead their respective households toward the attainment of salvation.”
