One with the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ)’s INC Giving projects around the world, the Local Congregation of Queens Park, Ecclesiastical District of Western Australia held theirs, dubbed “Garage Free,” at Cuerdo Residence, 2 Hewett St., Maddington WA 1069, Australia on August 31, 2025.
Led by their resident minister Brother Joemel Remoticado, the brethren volunteered donating both new and pre-loved items, including clothing, small appliances, toys, and household essentials. They also prepared refreshments for the guests.
Aside from providing material assistance, the activity also served as an opportunity to build friendships and introduce the Iglesia Ni Cristo and its other activities to more people through the handing out also of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazines and religious pamphlets.
“Being of help to the community made me feel happy and inspired. What stood out for me was when I met a lot of families as well as individuals who recently came to Australia. They expressed how they truly appreciated our efforts,” shared Light of Salvation secretary Leslie Ann Lacambra.
“We enjoyed it. It was really thoughtful and heartwarming to have a free garage sale for everyone to share and give out to others,” said recipient Nicole Artana.
“This INC activity unites people in a spirit of togetherness. Activities like this garage sale are such a great opportunity to share blessings, welcome new people, and lend a helping hand to those in need. To me, it truly reflects the love and compassionate nature of the Church,” said another recipient Keisha Cayabyab.
Brethren and officers actively participated in the activity “motivated by their strong faith and obedience to the teachings of God taught inside the Church. They know that by participating in activities supported by the Church Administration, they glorify God and show their love for their fellowmen,” attested Brother Remoticado.
